DriveWealth’s Challenge: Minimums of ~$250k on EM bonds have historically shut retail investors out of U.S. fixed income markets.

Retail investors have long been locked out of fixed income markets, especially emerging market (EM) bonds, due to prohibitively high investment minimums and fragmented access. While many bonds carry a $1k par value, actual minimums often start at $10k, $100k, or even $250k for Regulation S bonds, which are commonly used by international issuers. These thresholds make fixed income inaccessible to most individual investors, cutting them off from a critical asset class for income and diversification. Simultaneously, limited transparency and disjointed liquidity have made the market even harder to navigate without robust, retail-friendly infrastructure.

Moment’s Solution: Moment reduces minimums on EM bonds by over 200x, from $250k to $1k.

Moment dramatically reduced minimums on EM bonds by leveraging its deep dealer network to access institutional inventory in retail-friendly sizes. Dealers on Moment-powered platforms quote smaller lots and more competitive pricing. Together, the firms will soon pilot less-than-minimum U.S. Treasury trading, securing quotes as low as $100.

DriveWealth’s Challenge: DriveWealth’s partners had institutional service offerings with inventory they were unable to extend to their own retail users.

Many of DriveWealth’s partners have institutional service offerings and fixed income inventory, particularly in local or emerging markets where they have pricing expertise. However, these firms have historically been unable to extend that inventory to their own retail users due to infrastructure constraints, missing the opportunity to deliver differentiated, high-quality liquidity across multiple arms of their business.

Moment’s Solution: Moment will allow DriveWealth clients to seamlessly stream their proprietary bond inventory directly to end investors.

By integrating with Moment, firms will be able to leverage their regional pricing power and market insight to deliver better-priced, differentiated fixed income offerings to their retail users, all within a compliant, scalable, and automated framework. This functionality will be launched soon with some of DriveWealth’s largest correspondents.

DriveWealth’s Challenge: DriveWealth was connected to a narrow set of liquidity providers, limiting competition among market makers.

Prior to integrating with Moment, DriveWealth’s access to fixed income liquidity providers was limited – building and maintaining integrations across multiple venues proved too resource-intensive. The limited connectivity resulted in missed trading opportunities for its end users.

Moment’s Solution: DriveWealth is able to achieve significant cost savings and accesses liquidity for 21.8% of trades that would have otherwise gone unfilled with Moment.

By expanding DriveWealth’s access to a broader dealer network, Moment unlocks liquidity and improves execution quality. Its Smart Order Router automatically routes trades to the best price, resulting in notable cost savings and access to liquidity for 21.8% of otherwise unfilled orders. As regulatory pressure around best execution grows, Moment’s built-in compliance and reporting tools offer a seamless solution.
